Cold Wax with Oils Workshop
What is cold wax and oil painting? This is a style of painting where the artist mixes a cold wax medium into oil paint. The wax thickens the paint and results in a heavily textured piece. The addition of cold wax into oil paint also speeds the drying time and creates a unique finish in the work. The results can be enchanting and unexpected. Layer after layer of paint is applied to the substrate and can be manipulated to create unique and beautiful effects. The addition of cold wax to your usual oil paint brings a new avenue for experimentation and opens new doors to your creativity. Whether you are a realistic painter or more of an abstract painter, you will most likely have fun and get excited when you introduce cold wax to your repertoire.
