CCP - Public and Private School Registration
Public and Private School Registration Instructions for New and Returning Students CCP
CCP Enrollment and Registration for Public and Private School Students
Public and private school students must receive approval through their high school to pursue CCP. Students should reach out to their high school counselor or CVCC Scholar Advisor regarding the processes and deadlines to enroll in CCP.
If the student attends a public or private high school that does not have a CVCC CCP high school counselor contact and does not have a CVCC Scholar Advisor, please email ccp@cvcc.edu regarding the deadlines and processes for enrollment.
Registration Guidelines
The student’s high school counselor will initiate the student’s enrollment through registration.
Registration occurs once registration is open to all CVCC students. All seats are first-come, first-served and are not guaranteed. CCP students will be able to select courses from the main semester schedules for the upcoming semester, which means students will have the ability to request specific section numbers for courses. Students should provide alternate course options in case their first or second options are not available. Course selections should be made according to the courses allowed in the student’s CCP pathway. All course selections will be approved and submitted/requested by the student’s high school.
Last-Chance Registration is an opportunity for students to make a registration request after the semester begins. Last-Chance registration requests can only be made from a selection of available late-start courses (courses which have a start date that occurs later in the semester). These can be found on the main semester schedules page.
Last-Chance registration seats are first-come, first-served and are not guaranteed. Course selections should be made according to the courses allowed in the student’s CCP pathway.
Refer to the Important Dates tab for all registration deadlines.
How do students Register for CCP?
Students should check with their high school counselor or CVCC Scholar Advisor regarding the deadlines and processes to enroll in CCP during regular or late registration.
Students who attend a public or private high school without a CVCC CCP contact should email ccp@cvcc.edu for information on how to enroll and register.
What documents are required for enrollment?
Paperwork only needs to be submitted one time regardless of whether the student pursues more than one registration opportunity. Students should check with their high school counselor or CVCC Scholar Advisor regarding what documents are required for enrollment.
Public or private high school students without a CVCC CCP contact at their high school should email ccp@cvcc.edu for the documents needed for enrollment/registration.
How do students submit course requests?
Course requests will be approved and submitted by the student’s high school counselor or principal.
How do students confirm their registration?
All CCP students should confirm their registration with their high school counselor.
- Returning CCP students have the ability to check their schedule through their CVCC student portal.
- New students are required to complete the online CCP New Student Orientation. The student’s high school counselor, CVCC Scholar Advisor, and/or the CCP Office will communicate new student orientation information with the student.
For new CCP students who attend a public or private high school without a CVCC CCP contact, the CVCC CCP Office will be your point of contact for all registration information.
