08/17/2023

If you’re looking for personal enrichment opportunities, the CVCC Alexander Center is hosting FREE public classes through their Teaching & Training Tuesdays.

The first class, “Basic Computer Literacy and Cyber Awareness”, will be held on Tuesday, September 19th from 5:30pm-7:00pm. The course will embark on a journey into the world of computing devices, internet safety, and online protection.

The second course, “The ABC’s of Understanding Your Health Benefits”, will be held on Tuesday, October 24th from 5:30pm-7:00pm. This class helps students have a deeper understanding of why healthcare co-pays, co-insurance, in/out-of-network, and deductibles are all an integral part of health benefits. It is encouraged that participants bring their health benefits to the class so that they can receive assistance with the documents and talk through their healthcare benefit process.

The final Teaching & Training class of the semester, “Put a FREEZE on the Winter Holiday Fires”, will be held on Tuesday, November 21st from 5:30pm-7:00pm. This informative session about fire, carbon monoxide, and other holiday hazards is led by a CVCC Fire Protection Technology instructor.

All Teaching & Training Tuesdays will be held in-person at the Alexander Applied Technologies Building, Room 216.
