Welcome to the Red Hawk Athletics Day of Giving 2022 Challenge!

Giving it all is a mantra for the coaches and student-athletes at Catawba Valley Community College in their drive for team and personal success. Red Hawk athletes step up every day giving their all in practice, in weight training, in competition, and in their academic pursuits. This requires sacrifice, commitment, dedication, and tough choices.
In this giving season, CVCC Athletics asks you to consider supporting our student-athletes in their pursuit of giving it all.
Current legislation prohibits North Carolina state funding for Community Colleges from being used to fund student activities, including athletics. In addition, the state caps the NC Community College student activity fee at $35, and the impacts of COVID have compounded the funding challenges faced by community college athletics programs.
Despite these challenges, Red Hawk Nation has continued to provide student-athletes with an elite collegiate athletic environment, and the Red Hawks continue to see success in competition, with 4-year signings, and in high academic achievement.
Since reestablishing the athletic program in the fall of 2004, the Red Hawks have:
- claimed 25 conference titles, 20 Region titles, 12 District titles, and 12 national tournament appearances
- produced a National Player of the Year, 40 All-Americans, 70 Academic All-Americans, more than 100 All-Region winners, and over 250 student athletes who have signed with or transferred to four-year universities
CVCC Athletics is opening the door for these students to further their education, achieve their academic goals, grow in teamwork and life skills, and attain their career aspirations.
Our student athletes and coaches are working hard to cut costs and raise funds to support the budgetary needs for athletic programming and to ensure sustainability for the next generation of Red Hawks.
