CVCC Human Resources Institute Recognizes Graduating Class

On Tuesday, December 12th, CVCC recognized the newest graduates of the Human Resources Institute (HRI).

HICKORY, N.C.—On Tuesday, December 12th, CVCC recognized the newest graduates of the Human Resources Institute (HRI). This program, run through the CVCC Corporate Development Center (CDC), began mid-September and ran until the completion of the academic semester. This the second graduating class in program history.

Graduates included Jayne Abernethy; Jessica Chavez; Elizabeth Cruz; Susanne Drum; Mahogany Hildebran; Brooke Lawrence; Cari Leonard; Cheri Merritt; Lindy Swift; Emily Waldron; Reba Walker; and Janet Williams.

"In our role, you can be surrounded by so many people yet still be isolated," says Elizabeth Cruz, "So, being here [HRI] and grounded together in a sense of common knowledge has been a good thing for me."

Cindy Jarvis, course instructor, and Gary Muller, Executive Dean of Economic Development and Corporate Education at CVCC, presented the HRI certificates to each graduate during the ceremony.
