Entrepreneurship Activities
The Entrepreneurship Activities hosts an event called Shark Tank for students to pitch their business ideas in a competition format.
CVCC ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACTIVITIES
CVCC hosts programs throughout the year to promote entrepreneurship and to provide students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills. Programs include:
CVCC Everyday Entrepreneurship Venture Fund (EEVF)
The CVCC Everyday Entrepreneur Venture Fund (EEVF) provides grants to support CVCC students and recent graduates by helping them to start their own business with grants of up to $5,000! We’ll help you develop your business plan, and you will have a chance to pitch to a funding committee for a start-up grant. Visit CVCC Everyday Entrepreneurship Venture Fund (EEVF) to learn more.
CVCC Entrepreneurship Tour
The CVCC Entrepreneurship is open to local high schools and CVCC students with a high-energy young entrepreneur sharing his story and encouraging students to consider entrepreneurship and business ownership as a future career path. The next Entrepreneurship Tour will be scheduled for the Spring of 2023. We look forward to hosting this exciting event!
CVCC High School Shark Tank
CVCC and the CVCC Small Business Center host an annual spring Shark Tank Event for local high school students, providing students the chance to create and present a business idea with an opportunity to win cash prizes.
The purpose of the Shark Tank program is to promote the concept of entrepreneurship and to help students develop their presentation skills by delivering a business pitch to a panel of judges.
CVCC’s Shark Tank program is open to high school students in the Unifour area. Our CVCC team will work with your school to set up your school’s own Shark Tank Competition, with the top finishers from local high schools pitching in our area-wide competition at CVCC. If a school does not have its own Shark Tank Competition, individual students can enter their own ideas through our online application. Applications will be available in March.
