Would you like to improve your reading or math skills? Do you need help with oral or written communication? The Adult Basic Education program provides a positive learning environment for those looking for new skill sets or needing to improve existing skills.

Adult Basic Education (ABE) is a program of instruction designed for adults who function below the high school level. Instruction is offered in reading, writing, math, oral and written communication, and technology, according to the North Carolina Adult Education Standards. ABE Academy offers consistent and intensive contextualized classroom instruction which meets these requirements with a focus on career exploration and workforce preparation. Students enrolled in ABE Academy will share a common goal of transitioning into the workforce or additional educational programs. All students enrolled in ABE Academy have the right to a positive learning environment where they may achieve their educational goals.
