This dialog displays the filter panel based on what was last saved.

Pick from the following options to select filtering criteria image index results.

• Gallery - You can choose to return images from all visible galleries, the default gallery defined for your site, your favorite galleries, your private galleries, or from any particular gallery. Pick from the dropdown.
• Subsite - You can choose All subsites, Current subsites, Parent subsite, Direct subsite (the children of the current subsite), Sibling subsites (all subsites at the same level of hierarchy as the current site), or Custom (gives you options to choose a specific subsite, with the additional options shown below).

  

  Both Standard and Advanced Properties give you the option of limiting the number of child subsites to search. Use this feature to increase relevance and/or reduce the processing load for subsites with many children and pages.

• Creation Date, Last Modified Date, Last Major Change Date, Publication Date - Sets the date range and duration for selected information. See Specify Date/Range Duration for more information.
• Category - Displays internal image categories defined for the site.
• CommonSpot Keywords - Click Select by keywords to filter image index results by specific keywords or matches to any keywords defined for the current page.

  

  If you choose Match any of these keywords, you can either enter specific terms or click the Choose button to select one or more CommonSpot keywords to use as filter criteria.

   

  If you choose Match any of the current page's keywords, CommonSpot returns all images whose metadata matches CommonSpot standard or SEO keywords.

  Important Note: By default Page and Image Index keyword searches are case-sensitive. CommonSpot includes a servervars flag that allows you to override the default and make them non-case sensitive. Optionally add the following to your servervars file to enable non-case-sensitive searching:
  
  ServerInfo.PageIndexKeywordsMatchCase = "0";
• Owner - Choose from All owners, Owner of current page, Current user, or the Current user’s groups.
• Format - Choose all image file formats or filter by a specific file type. To avoid searching for non-existent file formats, this dropdown returns only those types currently used within CommonSpot. Check the Image Type field in the Report of Images to review types currently available for this filter. See the Administrator's Reference for details.
 

Click the Use Advanced Filter Options radio button to view the Advanced Expression Builder, as displayed below. Many of the fields on the Standard tab are replaced with fields for setting criteria that must be met before returning results. Criteria can include custom metadata and complex selectors.

In the Advanced options, use the normal expression builder to select a field on the left-hand side of the equation and compare it to a fixed value on the right-hand side. You can limit results to exclude or display images that match specific criteria as shown above, or set custom criteria. See Dynamic Filter for more information on using this dialog.

Alternatively, clicking the expression control on the right-hand side displays the Enter ColdFusion Expression dialog, as shown below, for comparing the field with the contents of a ColdFusion variable at page load time. When CommonSpot renders the page containing the Image Index Element, the current value of the ColdFusion variable is evaluated.

Click the Switch to Standard button to return to the Standard view. Click Save to keep your advanced filtering selections. Review the results of the filtering process, and optionally click Clear to remove your selections.
