Q: Why did I get a Refund Selection Kit with a CVCCOneCard in the mail?
A: Catawba Valley Community College has partnered with BankMobile to deliver your financial aid refund and provide you with your official School ID card. We are committed to providing students with clear choices and offering great customer service. The card you receive in the mail will serve as your student ID and library card, all in one. Q: Is this a “refund card”? Do I have to have my refund put on the card?
A: Absolutely not. The CVCCOneCard is not a “refund card.” It is an all-in-one student ID and library card. It can only serve as a debit card if you choose to open a BankMobile vibe account with BankMobile and have your refund direct deposited to that account.
Q: So I can have my refund sent to my current bank account? Or even my parent’s bank account?
A: You got it! The CVCCOneCard provides you with more options than ever before. You can have your refund direct deposited to any U.S. bank account, absolutely free of charge.
Q: Is the CVCCOneCard a credit card?
A: No. The CVCCOneCard serves as a debit card ONLY if you choose to open a BankMobile Vibe checking account with BankMobile.
Q: Do I have to use my CVCCOneCard?
A: Your CVCCOneCard will serve as your student ID and library card. To take advantage of these benefits, you will need your CVCCOneCard.
Q: Do I really need to activate my card and make my refund selection preference? I don’t ever expect to get a refund.
A: Yes, activate your card and make my refund selection preference. Even if you don’t expect a refund, you may in fact need to receive one at some point, like if a class gets canceled.
Q: I really see no need for my CVCCOneCard. Can I just throw it away?
A: Please do not throw away your CVCCOneCard, Without your card, you will not be able to access the CVCC Library.
Q: What if I didn’t receive the CVCCOneCard?
A: Your CVCCOneCard is mailed to the address on file in the Student Records Department. If you did not receive your card, please verify your current mailing address in the Student Records Department or by checking your MyCVCC account. If your address is incorrect, please visit the Personal Information Changes page for more details.
Q: What if I lost my CVCCOneCard or need a replacement?
A: If you have not activated your ID card, visit the Business Office to order a replacement. Please verify your current mailing address in the Student Records Department or by checking your MyCVCC account before reporting your card lost. New ID cards will be shipped to your current address on file.
If you have already activated your ID card, you can log into cvcconecard.com and re-order your card. It will be shipped to the address listed with BankMobile.
Q: I am new to CVCC. When will I receive my card?
A: Once classes have started, a CVCCOneCard will be ordered and shipped to you at the address on file with the Student Records Department.
Q: When will I get my financial aid refund?
A: The schedule for disbursing financial aid funds has not changed. Visit the Office of Financial Aid's Disbursement Schedule webpage for dates.
Your CVCCOneCard is your Student ID and Library Card.

To make sure you get your Refund Selection Kit with your ID card in the mail
- Provide the college with your correct current mailing address
- View your current address on file by logging into your MyCVCC Portal and choose the Self-Service menu.
- If your address needs to be updated, visit Student Records to make changes
