Emergency Medical Responder
Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care while waiting for EMS.
Emergency Medical Responder
The Medical Responder course is approximately 60 to 80 hours in length and includes classroom and skills components. Students must be a minimum of 17 years of age to enter the course. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the NC OEMS credentialing examination for Medical Responder.
Industrial courses are offered as requested and tuition and course fees are applicable. A course textbook will be available through the CVCC Bookstore and cost is approximately $50.00.
Tuition is waived for public safety personnel who are active members within their respective disciplines or other groups eligible for tuition waivers in North Carolina Administrative Codes; however, everyone must pay for insurance, CPR cards, specialty certification cards and textbook/workbooks.
