Electrocardiogram (EKG) Cardiology Technician
Electrocardiogram (EKG) Interpretation and Basic Cardiology prepares students to take the National Certification Exam.CVCC also offers short-term programs in Public Safety: Fire, Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, and CPR/First Aid.
A course to familiarize one with the anatomy and physiology of the heart. Emphasis is placed on obtaining and interpreting the electrocardiograph. High school diploma or GED required at registration. Students will be prepared to take the National Certification Exam.
Electrocardiogram technicians assists physicians and cardiologists in diagnosing medical conditions in patients. EKG Technicians are typically employed in hospitals, private cardiology clinics, and laboratories.

$5.00 technology fee
$1.25 Accident insurance
$131.25 Registration total cost . A textbook will also be required.
Class will be held on the East Campus (EC). This is a hybrid class.
