This program is designed for individuals who are currently working in the field of Polysomnography for at least 1 year, are in good standing with the BRPT and currently hold the RPSGT credential. An AAS in Polysomnography allows a practitioner to advance in employment, relocate to another position requiring an AAS or the pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Science at UNC-Charlotte. Students are required to complete PSG 112 and PSG 212 at CVCC with a grade of “B” or higher in each course. ELC 111 may be taken at CVCC or transferred in from an accredited school with a grade of “C” or higher. Applicants must meet all AAS course requirements as outlined in CVCC Catalog of record and pay a diploma fee upon completion.
Name: ________________________________ Student ID Number: __________________
Do This Step First: Activate the CVCC Application with “Polysomnography Associate Degree BRIDGE” as the intended major and visit Student Services during regular business hours with a photo ID to activate or confirm your records have active status if you have been a previous student.
Submitted applications are activated when a student brings a valid photo ID to the Student Services building and meets with an admissions staff member. No appointment is necessary. Students must have an active program status to be considered for the program. Applications may be activated by distance provided the applicant sends an email by the deadline to firstname.lastname@example.org in which a request is made to activate the application along with a copy of a photo ID. Whether applications are activated in person or by distance, applicants are responsible for reading and understanding the packet contents and meeting requirements.
To avoid disappointment, do not wait until the deadline date to start the application process. Visit the CVCC Admissions webpage for hours of operation. Directions and Campus Maps are available on the CVCC webpage.
Submit official High School or High School Equivalency Transcript in a sealed envelope issued from the school, electronically through a third party vendor to email@example.com or by postal mail. Plan accordingly to ensure arrival before the deadline.
Submit official College Transcripts from every school attended in a sealed envelope issued from the school, electronically through a third party vendor to firstname.lastname@example.org or by postal mail. Plan accordingly to ensure transcripts arrive by the deadline. If additional coursework is completed after submission of transcripts, an official updated transcript must be submitted to CVCC to ensure all possible transfer credit is awarded.
Currently working in the polysomnography field with at least one year of documented employment.
Submit the following documents to email@example.com:
- Legible copy of valid photo ID;
- Legible copy of current certification from the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers); and

Submit the completed MAR Checklist and other documentation before the deadline. From the applicant’s CVCC email account, email a scanned copy or cell phone photo of the completed MAR Checklist and other documentation to firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:59 PM EST on the deadline day. The MAR Checklist must be entirely readable. Checklists are not accepted after the published deadline.
The Program Director may request additional documentation. It is the applicant’s responsibility to monitor Checklist requirements, whether enrolled at CVCC or elsewhere on a semester by semester basis. CVCC reserves the right to change curriculum and admissions requirements without prior notice.
