The Longleaf Commitment for High School Graduate Financial Aid is a partnership of the North Carolina Governor's Office, Community College System, and the State Education Assistance Authority.
Full time students, a guarantee of $700 to $2,800 per year, for a total of two years is available, as well as partial rewards for part-time students.
Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund
CVCC is excited to offer the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Funds Scholarship. This program provides scholarships for eligible community college students pursuing high-demand workforce training programs 96-hours or more leading to a State or industry-recognized credential.

Classes are held Seated/Hybrid (On-Campus in person), Virtual, and Online to fit your needs.

A new grant announced by the state of North Carolina will help assist recent high school graduates in covering tuition and fees at Catawba Valley Community College.
Catawba Valley Community College is increasing its commitment to the Alexander County area it serves, announcing that Donna Ross has been named the Director of Instruction at the college’s Alexander Center for Education (ACE).
Catawba Valley Community College is currently accepting registration for its Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) class, which starts Nov. 1 at the CVCC Alexander Center in Taylorsville, NC.
