Ned Jarrett Family Scholarship Endowment

The Ned Jarrett Family Scholarship Endowment is established by the Catawba Valley Hospitality and Tourism Association (CVHTA) to honor the Ned Jarrett Family for their lifetime of outstanding and faithful community service to both the Catawba Valley and the motorsports industry. The members of the Ned Jarrett Family have distinguished themselves among their peers as successful and respected professionals of the Motorsports industry and have gained the respect of the citizens of the Catawba Valley for the numerous hours of community service performed. In addition, the members of this family have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assure that the Catawba Valley community is always promoted in a most positive manner.

Award

The amount of the award will vary as does the income and growth of the endowment.

Criteria for Selection

The recipient must possess the following:

• Potential for a successful college career in the CVCC Motorsports Technology program.

The recipient must have exhibited similar qualities as have the members of the Ned Jarrett Family involving community service and promotion of the Catawba Valley in a positive manner.
