Taylorsville Rotary Club Memorial Scholarship Endowment
The Taylorsville Rotary Club Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established as a
memorial to past members. Success of the economy of Alexander County depends upon the quality of
CVCC’s graduates. The Taylorsville Rotary Club Memorial Scholarship for Alexander County Emerging
Leaders will enable and encourage students to develop their leadership potential.
Award
The scholarship is $500. The recipient may apply for the award for a second year.
Criteria for Selection
The recipient must possess:
- Potential for a successful two-year college career.
- Commitment to obtain an education to pursue definite goals.
- Be an Alexander County resident.
- Be a graduate of Alexander Central High School.
- Be a member of the Interact Club.
Other Criteria
The recipient must accept the commitment to attend a monthly leadership seminar.
The recipient will be asked to participate in the CVCC Rotaract Club.
The recipient will be invited by the Taylorsville Rotary Club to attend at least one
club meeting and/or function during the school year.
