Voyt F. Rudisill Scholarship Endowment

The Voyt F. Rudisill Scholarship Endowment was established by Mrs. Pauline Rudisill in memory of her husband for a student from Fred T. Foard and East Burke High Schools pursuing a course of study at CVCC.

Scholarship Award

The award is $750 for tuition, fees, insurance and books.

Criteria for Selection

The recipient must possess the following:

• A cumulative grade point average of “C” or better for all work attempted during high school.
• Potential to successfully complete a diploma in a one year vocational program or a degree in a two year technical or college transfer program while enrolled on a full time basis.

Other Criteria

Applicants will be asked to complete ACT need analysis for financial need to be determined.

Selection will be based on need, GPA, and application.

Recipients will be first-year students, except in cases where the scholarship is to be re-awarded due to initial recipient withdrawing from college permanently, or a first-year student does not meet the criteria regarding graduation from Fred T. Foard or East Burke High Schools.

If the scholarship is not awarded to an East Burke or Fred T. Foard student, the need analysis may be used to make a selection of a deserving student (either first or second year).
