Physics and Astronomy

Welcome to the home page for physics and astronomy courses here at Catawba Valley Community College. From here you will be able to obtain detailed information on our physics and astronomy faculty members, detailed descriptions of our courses, and even course requirements and syllabi. Eventually, each course will have its own web page maintained by that course's instructor. CVCC's physics and astronomy faculty currently consists of Larry Ward and Joe Heafner. Larry teaches all levels of physics courses and also serves as the Chairman for the Math and Science Division. His specialty is technological applications of physics. Joe's specialty is astronomy, although he teaches all levels of physics as well.
