Students may enter this program in the Fall, Summer, or Spring semesters: however, some courses may be offered during specified semesters only.

Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED |
Please note: ACA 111 is recommended to be taken as early as possible. A grade of D is not acceptable for graduation.
Student insurance is required for Flame Propagation class.
Students may receive up to 9 hours credit for the following with approval from the Department Chair.
FIP 224 Educational Methodology 4 hours with State Level II
FIP 230 Hazardous Materials 5 hours with State Technician Level
FIP 132 Building Construction 3 hours with North Carolina Contractors Certification
FIP 124 Fire Prevention 3 hours with FLSE Level III State Certification
FIP 136 Inspections and Codes 3 hours with Level 3 State Certification
