Refund Policy:
A refund will be made in the following circumstances:
All money except activity and processing fees shall be refunded if the student officially withdraws prior to the first day of class. A student is eligible for a FULL refund if the class in which the student is officially registered fails to "make" due to insufficient enrollment.
A 75% refund (of tuition only) shall be made if the student officially withdraws from the class prior to or on the official 10% point of the class (4th day of class). "Officially withdraws" means either telling the lead instructor for Truck Driver Training or calling Becky Rees at 828-327-7000 ext. 4296.
All refunds are handled by the Business Office. Upon completion of the paperwork, it usually takes four to six weeks for the refund to be issued.
When a student, having paid the required fees for the class, dies during the class, tuition and fees for that class shall be refunded to the estate of the deceased.
Bookstore Refund Policy: NO RECEIPT - NO REFUND
A full refund will be given on new or used books IF:
- You present your cash register receipt,
- You do not mark or write in your new book,
- Wrapped or boxed merchandise is not unwrapped or opened,
- Not more than 10 days has passed since the beginning of the semester or class,
All books must be in NEW and SALEABLE condition for a full refund. Refunds will be mailed.
All checks must allow ten days to clear before a refund is allowed. No refunds on diskettes, sales items, special orders, or supplies!
