Call For Art Work

Catawba Valley Community College is seeking artworks for a permanent collection at the North Carolina Community College System in Raleigh for an expanded permanent collection.


Former and current CVCC students, faculty and staff are eligible to submit work for consideration. Work must depict campuses, students, student activities or faculty and staff at work. Visual Art Program Director Jeff Kiefer is coordinating a team of judges who will select the two pieces that CVCC is eligible to submit.

Two-dimensional media suitable for use in a public office are welcome, including but not limited to painting, drawing, graphic design, photography and computer design. Two dimensional works should be framed or canvas art work no larger than 60 inches in any direction. Items selected must be ready for installation and wired appropriately for hanging. All work must be dry and stable.

A maximum of three submissions in digital .jpg format no larger than 10MB each may be submitted using the following naming syntax:  

Include with submissions name, address, title of work, medium, dimensions, price/value, and an artist statement limited to 300 words or less.
