The original priorities of the Professional Staff Association were established through a brainstorming session with the membership, followed by a vote. Each year the PSA Executive Committee reviews the previous year's accomplishments and then develops a proposed list of priorities for the new year which are submitted to the membership for approval and ranking. The priorities below are ranked in order of importance to the membership in September 2003:
