PSA Execute Board Minutes
CVCC Professional Staff Association Executive Committee
January 20, 2006

3:00 PM Foundation Board Room

Executive Members Present: Sue Asp, Doug Allen, Ashley King Brown, Karen Less, Joyce Watson.

President Doug Allen called the meeting to order at 3:05 pm.

Treasurer's Report: $367.69

Sue Asp gave an update on the Presidential Search Committee. The advertisement of the position has been published in several newspapers, the Chronicle of Higher Education , and the Challenger Newsletter. Deadline for applications is Feb. 27 th . Consultant will review and trim from approximately 60 applications to 20-25. CVCC Search Committee will trim to 6-8 applicants and trustees will select 3 to send to the State Board of Community Colleges.

New Business
The possibility of $100 to be given to a PSA member to be used for professional development. There was discussion about bringing this up at the PSA meeting and recommending that a committee be considered to develop criteria because we were not in favor of making this award for something other than a professional development activity.

The next meeting of PSA will be Jan. 24, 2006 , 2:30 pm at EC Room 1009.
