We're Here For YOU

Why are almost half of all U.S. college student enrolled in community colleges?

It's true, 44 percent of all undergraduate students attend one of the nations 1,171 community colleges. That adds up to about five million students.

Could it be cost?
Average yearly tuition to a community college is about $1,600 compared to an average of about $3,300 in state at a public university and $15,000 to $30,000 (yikes!) for private universities.

Could it be convenience?
If you have a job, have a family or have a life that you can't just put on hold, you're in good company. Over 50 percent of community college students work full time and about 35 percent more work part time. Evening classes and programs designed for busy students make this possible.

Could it be quality?
Small classes, teachers who know your name as well as their field, transfer agreements with universities, child care, student sports and cultural activities: All of this adds up to an education that's not just close to home, it's first rate. CF
