Introduction To QuickBooks

Intro to QuickBooks gets new and prospective small business owners started using QuickBooks, focusing on navigating the home page, using QuickBooks lists, and the chart of accounts.  In this hands-on session, participants work through using QuickBooks to create a company file and practice recording sales and managing expenses.  The session provides an overview on how QuickBooks can be used to manage a small business' finances.

Fundraising Fundamentals For Non-Profits

Non-Profit organizations must continually look for new funding sources and ways to support their services and mission.  Fundraising is a needed skill for many non-profits as support from traditional sources shrinks and organizations search for new sources of support.  This 2.5 seminar reviews the primary elements of fundraising, compares the types of fundraising to an organization’s needs, and provides best practices.  Participants evaluate their organization’s needs and determine where fundraising events can supplement their operations.

eCommerce Part 1 - Selling Products On-Line

One way to expand your market is to sell products online. We will explore the features of well-known e-commerce hosts such as the eBay Store and Amazon.com, as well as other options for creating an online store. PayPal and other payment gateways will also be discussed.

Sales Workshop For Your Small Business

In The Sales Workshop participants review over a dozen channels for getting their goods and services to the market and then decide which strategies are the best fit for their business.

Then attendees learn how a simple pencil and a sheet of paper is the most valuable sales tool you will ever have as the instructor leads participants through a one-page exercise that keeps deals from falling between the cracks.

The workshop concludes with a look at how to limit the negative side effects of losing a deal.  The instructor leads participants through a brief sales simulator to show how you can break the failure cycle and turn it around.
