Nurse Scholars Program / Prospective Teacher Scholarship Loan
We are pleased to announce that the applications for the Nurse Scholars Program (NSP) and the Prospective Teacher Scholarship Loan (PTSL) are now available online at www.CFNC.org/NSP and www.CFNC.org/PTSL, respectively.
The State Employees Association of North Carolina is offering scholarships for active members, their spouses, and dependent children who will be enrolled as full-time students for the 2011-2012 school year. The SEANC Scholarship Foundation awards annual scholarships in the following categories:
- Financial Need
- Member Only
Applicants for SEANC scholarhips must be enrolled in a recognized and accredited post secondary school, college, trade school or other institution of higher learning. You may pick up an application in the CVCC Financial Aid Office. Applicants must apply through the local SEANC district. Drum-Wilkinson Educational Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
The Drum-Wilkinson Educational Foundation (DWEF) plans to award a minimum of three scholarships with amount varying from $250 to $1000 for the 2011-2012 academic year.
An applicant must be a legal American citizen and complete an application in accordance with the organization’s Guide and Requirements. Scholarships are awarded without regard to age, race, religion, sexual gender, marital status, or relationship to the Drum-Wilkinson families.
There is no application fee. Scholarship awards are announced to chosen recipients, DWEF’s newsletter, and print news media in which DWEF solicits applications.
A copy of the 2011 DWEF APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS & GUIDE is available to interested students. To receive an application & guide: Place a #10 (4 ½” x 10 ½”) envelope addressed to the applicant with one first-class ($.44) stamp affixed inside another #10 envelope. Affix one first-class stamp ($.44); address and mail to:

Requests for the Application Requirements & Guide should be submitted prior to February 1, 2011.
Completed applications must be postmarked by February 28, 2011 to be considered. An Independent Selection Committee reviews and considers applications without knowledge of the applicants’ identities. Selected scholarship recipients will be notified prior to June 15, 2011.
