6th Grade Eligibility and Information
All sessions will be held on Catawba Valley Community College's (CVCC's) main campus 5 times each academic year, and 2 fun, educational field trips will be planned for participants each year. There will be no summer sessions.
Parents are responsible for transportation to and from CVCC and local activity events. Parents will meet 1 time per year as a group for college preparation courses. Calendars will be published each July for planning purposes.
Upon satisfactory program completion and high school graduation, the Dream-Believe-Achieve (DBA) Scholarship Program offers "gap payment" for a 2-year CVCC Associates Degree, diploma or certificate at no cost* to all participants. Gap payment is defined as payment-in-full for tuition expense after all Financial Aid has been utilized. Some textbook stipends may also be available. Participants must be a US Citizen/Certified Visiting Student to participate in this Program.
