Historic Murray's Mill
Saturday, April 11, 2015
Catawba Valley Community College's Christ-centered organization, Cru.@CVCC, will hold its 7th Annual Run of the Mill 5K Charity Walk/Run at historic Murrays Mill. The 2015 race proceeds recipient is Connections Clubhouse located in Newton, NC. Connections promotes and provides opportunities for adults with mental illness in the Catawba Valley region to lead meaningful and productive lives of their choice in the community.
Race director Amanda Crouse heads up the event again this year in April and invites the community to come out and support Connections Clubhouse while enjoying a wonderful Catawba County historical site.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
- Matthew 25:40
In 2014, CRU@CVCC's Run of the Mill benefitted Housing Visions of Catawba. Past recipients include the Council On Adolescents of Catawba County, Safe Harbour Rescue Mission, the Rape Crisis Center of Catawba County and ACTION kivu, an international organization that helps women in the Congo. Last year's event was our largest ever and attracted over 200 participants! An impressive sum was raised for Housing Visions of Catawba! We hope this year's Run of the Mill will be even bigger! Hope to see you there!
