Discover the fun of cupcake decorating and make the most stick-tacular cake pop treats. You will use techniques to bake your own cupcakes and cake pops and learn to use different decorating tools. Got Game? (Rising 5th - 7th Graders)

Do you enjoy playing computer games and wonder how they are created? Then this camp is for you! In this four-day camp, Blaire Miller, will teach students the history of games and how the graphics are made. The students will then design their own games and share the likes and dislikes of game features. The camp will end on Thursday when the student brings a game from home and enjoys sharing their favorite game to other students. Space is limited so sign up early!

Heroes for a Day (Ages 10-14)

Learn what it is like to live the life in public safety. Spend a day with paramedics, police and firefighters. You will be shown the basics of CPR, EMS, Fire safety and aspects of what it takes to be a police officer. Come join us for an active, exciting adventure! Be aware parts of the activities will involve outside participation so please do not wear sandals or open-toed shoes.

 Readers Theater (Rising 1st & 2nd Graders)

Using theater games and your imagination, Reader's Theater is an exciting way to help you improve reading fluency. Students are spared the stress of having to memorize lines and can focus on developing a strong, dynamic and expressive reading while having fun acting the parts. This class emphasizes reading aloud with expression along with follow-up activities, strengthening key skills in reading, fluency, comprehension, and listening skills.

Rockin' Robots (Rising 6th - 8th Graders)

Students will be challenged to create a robot (using Lego's® NXT Mindstorm materials) that will meet a variety of challenges. Towards week's end, we will create autonomous Sumo Bots. This is a great camp for teaching teamwork and preparing students for engineering and problem-solving challenges.

  NEW!! GENCYBER@CVCC CAMP (Ages 13-18)

This week long camp is dedicated to middle and high school students for the purpose of having fun while learning in a group environment. Each day will be full of learning how computers and networks function as well as cybersecurity topics such as hacking tools and ethics. The camp will be a mixture of lectures with hands-on and interactive activities, followed with group competitions. Topics to be covered include computer hardware, operating systems, networks, Information Security Principles, cybersecurity tools and cybersecurity careers.
