Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) 5.0
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) 5.0 Test is specifically designed for students interested in nursing. It was developed by ATI Testing to measure content areas in Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage. The exam is a 170 item multiple choice format. It is a timed test of 209 minutes total, but applicants are encouraged to block out four (4) hours for the exam. The total possible points for the TEAS 5.0 is a 100 composite score.
Applicants will be notified to schedule the TEAS 5.0 Exam after all minimum admission requirements, except the CNA I, are met. The CNA requirement does not have to be met to take the TEAS 5.0. Students will be ranked according to their performance on the TEAS 5.0 and competitive admission points.
The fee for the Exam is $35.00 and may be subject to change. The fee is payable only in the CVCC Business Office.
Important Note: Scores for TEAS 5.0 Exams taken at other institutions will ONLY be accepted from ATI. Visit the ATI website(www.atitesting.com); go to "online store"--shop by Student; select ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Transcripts." Outside test scores must be submitted to the CVCC Records Department by the designated deadline for that selection year. Only the TEAS 5.0 version will be accepted.
