Learn the proper techniques for performing venipuncture and skin puncture. NOTE: Students will practice sticking technique on each other in class. After successful completion of the class/lab portion of class, students will be assigned a 40 hour (1 week) clinical rotation. Second shift clinical sites are very limited.
GED or high school diploma must be presented at registration.
Costs includes: $180 registration fee, textbook, insurance $15.75, and a lab fee of $95 and $6 for CPR. There is an additional fee to register for ASPT exam.
All enrollments must be pre-registered and all fees (tuition, lab & insurance) pre-paid.

Students are required to take Pathways to Health Careers and pass the Phlebotomy placement test offered in the Pathways class. Students who meet certain criteria may be exempt from the Pathways class. For more information, contact Donna Davis, ext. 4319.

Prerequisties: HS Diploma/GED, successful of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program with in the past 5 years with proof of a minimum of 100 successful venipunctures, current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR. If formal training has been in the past 5-10 years, student must provide documentation of 2 years of Phlebotomy work experience. As a refresher, this class will include theory and lab only.
Costs includes: $125 registration, $85 Lab fee, $1.25 insurance, Textbook
This 50 hour class prepares students to perform and interpret waived/low complexity tests performed in a physician's office or clinic setting.
Prerequisites: HS Diploma/GED, successful completion of formal Phlebotomy Training Program within the last 3 years or minimum of 20 hours/week of phlebotomy employment for the past 12 months if formal training is more than 3 years prior.
