Upon successful completion, student will be eligible to apply for the state exam to be listed on the DHSR NA I Registry. Required at registration: Current US government issued, signature bearing photo ID, and GED or high school diploma. Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Pathways to CNA-Exempt with documentation of placement into English 111 or completion of Reading 090. Accelerated Certified Nurse Assistant I

The Accelerated CNA I program is a faster paced program designed to meet the needs of the student who has received a letter of acceptance into the 2013 Nursing or other programs which require registry as a CNA I or clinical hours before the beginning of the 2013 Fall semester. Required at registration: Current US government issued, signature bearing photo ID, and GED or high school diploma. Pre-requisite: Successful placement into English 111 or completion of Reading 090, and an official letter of acceptance into a Fall 2013 program which requires completion of a CNA I class as a pre-requisite. Certified Nurse Assistant II
The CNA II Program provides training in more complex skills for working with patients or residents regardless of the setting. Persons successfully completing the course may register with the NC Board of Nursing for certification. Required at registration: High School diploma or GED, Certificate of completion of a NC State approved Nurse Aide I program, be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry in good standing, and driver’s license or US government-issued photo ID.
Costs include a $175 registration fee, insurance $15.75. Textbook and Program Manual required.
