In this 5-week course, the student will be introduced to the world of decorating using buttercream for projects ranging from cupcakes to cakes for any and every occasion. During the class, students will learn the difference in icing consistency and why it is important; how to fill and use a decorating bag, different tips and how to pipe them, how to decorate a cupcake, how to make buttercream flowers, and how to level, torte, fill and ice a cake and more!

This class is designed to take students that have basic buttercream skills to the next level of decorating skill. Learn about tip families, how to use one tip to get five different techniques, how to pipe borders and embellishments, how to make pretty piped bouquets, beautiful cupcakes and more! There will be supplies needed for this class, which can be forwarded to you at the time of registration. Pre-requisite: Buttercream 101 or equivalent knowledge.

This class is for students who have mastered the basic buttercream class, know how to successfully level, torte and ice a cake, and are ready for the next level of decorating skills. This class will cover customized cake design, tall cakes, unicorn cakes (and their cousins), stacked cakes, floral, painting with buttercream and more! There will be supplies needed for this class, which can be forwarded to you at the time of registration. Pre-requisite: Buttercream 102 or equivalent knowledge.

This introduction to fondant class teaches you how to work with this medium properly to achieve the professional looking decorations, flowers, and covered cakes you have always wanted but were afraid to try. We tame the beast! Students will learn how to work with fondant, how to color and store fondant, understand the difference between fondant and gumpaste, how to use gumpaste, how to make flowers such as gumpaste rose and how to cover a cake with fondant.
