Learn the proper techniques for performing venipuncture and skin puncture. Students will practice sticking technique on one another in class. After successful completion of the class/lab portion of class, students will be assigned a 40 hour (1 week) clinical rotation. Second shift clinical sites are very limited.
GED or high school diploma must be presented at registration.
$180 registration fee, textbook, insurance $15.75, and a lab fee of $95 and $8 for CPR. There is an additional fee to register for ASPT exam.
All enrollments must be pre-registered and all fees (tuition, lab and insurance) pre-paid.
Students are required to take Pathways to Health Careers and pass the Phlebotomy placement test offered in the Pathways class. Students who meet certain criteria may be exempt from the Pathways class.
We will have Phlebotomy Orientation to discuss Health Screenings, Drug test and Background checks with prospective students on the following dates:
