Now calling for submissions for Volume One Issue One. Publish date April 2010.

 

Guidelines for submission:

  • Open to any student in any program 2009-2010 school period.
  • Please no previously published works.
  • Rights revert to author upon publication.

PLEASE READ EACH SUBMISSION GUIDELINE CAREFULLY. Contact Lead and Fiction Editor Robert T Canipe at catawba@cvcc.edu  if you have any questions. Please do not submit to this address! The submission addresses are below each area. Deadline for submission December 16, 2009.

Art:

All art reproduced in black and white upon publication regardless. Keep this in mind when choosing images and artwork to submit.

Photography: Still life, action, portraiture, etc. Model release forms must be in order and complete. LIMIT FIVE (5) images per submittant per submission. Submit 8x10 300ppi. Please submit each file separately as attached files.

Please place submittant name, title of piece, and the word "photograph" in the SUBJECT AREA of the email. Please include a small biography of the artist in the email message area.

Literature:

Poetry:

All lengths and styles accepted. Please, no previously published work. All works must be original and the property of submittant. No more than FIVE (5) poems per submittant. Please submit each file separately as attached files.

Please place submittant name, title of piece, and the word "Poetry" in the SUBJECT LINE of the email. Please include a small biography of the writer in the email message area.

Short Stories:

2500-4000 words. All genres except erotica or stories with graphic content. If it would embarrass your mother, please do not submit it. Please, no previously published works. Please submit only ONE (1) story per submittant, per submittal.  When you receive word of acceptance, editorial change requests, or rejection, you may then submit another story.

Please place submittant name, title of piece, and the word "STORY" and word count in the SUBJECT LINE of the email. Please include a small biography of the writer in the email message area.

Creative Non-Fiction:

2500-4000 words.  All genres. Please no erotica or stories with graphic content. If it would embarrass your mother, please do not submit it. Please submit only one story per submittant per submittal.  When you receive word of acceptance, editorial change requests, or rejection, you may then submit another story.

Please place submittant name, title of piece, and the word "CREATIVE" and word count in the SUBJECT LINE of the email. Please include a small biography of the writer in the email message area.
