Career & College Promise Info Sessions March 27 & April 1

Catawba Valley Community College invites high school sophomores and juniors and their parents or guardians to one of two information sessions about the college’s Career & College Promise program to learn how to earn college credit tuition free.
Sessions will be held Thurs., March 27, and Tues., April 1. Both begin at 6 p.m. in Room 582 of the Cuyler A. Dunbar Bldg. located on the Main Campus at 2550 Hwy. 70 SE in Hickory.

Career & College Promise offers qualified North Carolina high school students the option to earn college credits tuition free. Students can begin their two- or four-year college work while they are in high school allowing them to get a head start on their workplace and college preparation.

The information session will help parents and guardians learn more about how their child can qualify, the different academic credits students may earn and the academic expectations of students in a college environment.

Career & College Promise gives qualified high school students access to an affordable college education. Students can earn college credit completely transferrable to all UNC system institutions and many N.C. independent colleges and universities. Students can also earn a credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. For more information about Career & College Promise at CVCC, visit, or contact Roxy Poovey, or 828-327-7000, xxt. 4594.
