Career & College Promise Info Session Oct. 3

Catawba Valley Community College invites parents or guardians of current high school sophomores and juniors to an information session about the college’s Career & College Promise program on Thurs., Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. The session will be held on the Main Campus in Hickory in the Cuyler A. The information session will help parents and guardians learn more about how their child can qualify, the different academic credits students may earn and the academic expectations of students in a college environment.

Career & College Promise gives qualified high school students access to an affordable college education. Students can earn college credit completely transferrable to all UNC system institutions and many N.C. independent colleges and universities. Students can also earn a credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career. For more details on state eligibility standards, visit
