"Let's Stop Bullying Now" Rally March 19

Catawba Valley Community College will shine the light on the important cultural issue of bullying and show students, instructors, parents, teachers and counselors how to tackle it head on with an inspirational rally presented by motivational speaker Mike Hall Tues., March 19, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Tarlton Complex.

The “Let’s Stop Bullying Now!” rally is designed for students in middle school, high school, and college as well as parents and educators.

Using his own life experience, Hall helps his audiences dissect the biggest challenges of growing up: bullying, peer pressure, and the search for significance. He draws on his own story of struggle, loneliness, heartbreak and triumph, as he travels the world inspiring students to respect them and to respect those around them.

Hall weaves laughter and thoughtfulness into a powerful and entertaining presentation that shares a surefire approach to helping victims become over-comers.

Open to the public at no charge, this presentation is sponsored by the college’s Dream-Believe-Achieve Scholars Program, CVCC Student Government Association, the School of Academics, Education & Fine Arts, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the School of Health and Public Services and the Office of Student and Community Engagement.
