"Atlas Shrugged" Movie Nov. 30

Catawba Valley Community College’s School of Business, Industry & Technology is screening the movie “Atlas Shrugged Part 1” on Wed., Nov. 30, at noon in the CVCC Auditorium.

Part 1 is the first in a proposed trilogy based on Ayn Rand’s fourth and final novel, “Atlas Shrugged.” The movie is set in a United States beset by a sustained recession where leading innovators, from industrialists to artists, are led to go on strike.

The screening follows last spring’s community book discussion led by economics faculty Kathy Crump. The screening is free and open to the community.
