Surgical Technology Program Holds Pinning Ceremony

Thirteen graduates of Catawba Valley Community College’s Surgical Technology program were recognized during a pinning ceremony.

Surgical technologists assist in surgeries under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses or other surgical technologists. They are vital members of the operating room team, assisting prior to, during and after surgical procedures.

Graduates recognized were Debra Surrat of Morganton, Laura Crawford of Cherryville, Priscilla Hunter of Hickory, Brandi Killian of Newton, Jennifer Tomlin of Statesville, Erika Lewis of Hickory, Patricia Stillwell of Valdese, Amy Bennett of Boone, Sara Browning of Hickory, Michelle Gantt of Hickory, Pam Keller of Catawba, Jada Rector-Plott of Scotts, NC, and Eddie Ewing of Maiden.
