Thursday, November 4, 2010 FILM: BUILDING BRIDGES Deepening Understanding between Long – Term Residents & New Immigrants The Hickory International Council invites you to attend part 3 in this 3 part series entitled The New Americans. This themed documentary addresses issues related to refugees and immigrants as they leave their native countries to start a new life in the United States. Screenings will take place at: The Arts & Science Auditorium, SALT Block, Pre and post screening discussions provide opportunities to explore what it means to be an "American" today. Admission is free. Refreshments in the Coe Gallery, Hickory Museum of Art beginning at 6:00 Pre Screening Discussion: beginning at 6:30 pm. Alyn Mearns, his musically gifted companion, will be performing along with Adrian. |
